Crystal Palace Owners Ready To Let Alan Pardew Go To Real Madrid

Speaking to the BBC’s 5live Sport, Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish said that he won’t stand in the way of his manager Alan Pardew should Spanish giants Real Madrid come calling following the incredible run of results that Palace have enjoyed under Pardew.

Crystal Palace finished a respectable 10th last season following Pardew’s take over of the side after he left the Newcastle Job. A major improvement considering that the Londoners were languishing in the relegation zone when he took over.

The feisty Englishman has continued to transform the performances of Crystal Palace, taking them to 5th place the table at the end of 2015.

Palace owners won’t be standing Pardew’s way should Madrid come calling

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez is under considerable pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu. With Palace flying high, the co-woner Steve Parish cheekily said that he won’t stand in Pardew’s way if the Spanish giants come calling.

He was quoted saying: “You know we want Alan to stay at the club for a very long time, but who knows what will happen?

“If Real Madrid want Alan Pardew then Ia m sure we wouldna t stand in his way. You know, everyone wants to get to the best point they can in their career, but at the moment I know Alana s very happy here and hea s not thinking about anything else other than being here, wea re not thinking about anything else than him being here, and if something comes up because wea re very successful then what can we do about it?”

.

While the Englishman is enjoying his time with the London outfit, the thought of him taking over Real Madrid is as weird as when West Ham winger Julian Faubert was bought by the Spanish giants.

No disrespect to Pardew, but we know what happened when Moyes took over Manchester United. It’s all together a different ball game when you go from managing Zaha, Bolasie, Puncheon and Cabaye to Bale, Ronaldo, James, and Benzema.
