The Toronto Police have also issued a warrant against Piazon’s Brazil teammate Andrey da Silva Ventura, who plies his trade in the Brazilian Seria A, at Botafogo FC.

The alleged incident took place on July 26, 2015, when the Pan American games were going on in Canada. The two players were a part of the Brazilian team for the tournament, and have been charged on Thursday by the Toronto Police.

Brazil had finished third at the Pan American games, after defeating Panama 3-1 in extra time, in the third-placed playoffs on the tournament, which was ultimately won by Uruguay, who beat Mexico in a closely-contested final.

In fact, Piazon was the one, who scored the two winning goals for the Brazilian side, after their third placed playoff against Panama ended 1-1 in normal time.

The two players had allegedly accompanied a 21-year-old woman and her friend back to the latter’s home, after visiting a night club with them, according to The Toronto Star, who had the details of the investigation revealed to them by the local police.
