Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed Alberto Moreno and his professionalism ahead of the crunch clash against Arsenal FC.
Moreno has been benched in the opening two games by the manager in favour of 18-year-old Joe Gomez. The former Charlton Athletic defender joined the Reds earlier in the transfer window. However, Rodgers feels that despite being benched the Spaniard has been very professional and has been putting in the hard work needed to make his way back into the first-team.

Moreno was at fault last season for a number of goals that the Anfield outfit conceded. The Spaniard is known for his attacking abilities, but lacks the defensive organization or discipline essential for his position. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by the club’s official website, Brendan Rodgers said,
a He understands the reasons why hea s not in the team at this moment, but he, like all the other players, it was very important for me to acknowledge to them that it will be difficult between now and the international break, especially if the team is winning.”

The Northern Irishman commented on another 18-year-old, Jordan Rossiter and his role in the squad. Brendan Rodgers stressed that Rossiter was a valuable member of the squad. However, he or some of his teammates could be headed out on loan for the season to gain experience.
