Benzema and Kroos Declared Fit To Play Against Juventus In The Champions League

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and midfielder Toni Kroos have been declared fit and they can play against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Wednesday. The French striker got injured in the Champions League quarter-final game against Atletico Madrid. Since then he remained out of action. Carlo Ancelotti had fielded Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale as front strikers in the first leg last week.

German international Toni Kroos was jolted with a back injury last Saturday while he was playing against Valencia CF. Kroos left the field at the early stages of the game after he fell awkwardly on the ground. There was a doubt regarding his fitness and whether he would be fit enough to play in the second leg semi-final against Juventus.

Fortunately for Ancelottia s side both of them have regained their fitness and can feature in the Wednesdaya s crucial encounter.

Real Madrid were going through a rough patch in the previous week. They faced defeat against Juventus last Tuesday at Turin and received a set-back in the Champions League campaign. After that they were held by Valencia CF for a 2-2 draw which saw Madrid slipping out of the La Liga title race.

The return of the duo will be a great boost for the club who will aim to win against Juventus on Wednesday and confirm their berth in the Champions League final
