Benitez Lashes Out At Ravenous Journalists; Pays Tribute To ‘Legendary’ Raul

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez spoke on the eve of his team’s La Liga clash against Levante, lashing out at ravenous journalists, while also paying his tribute to the great Raul.

Rafael Benitez gave the media a piece of his mind in the pre-match press conference, stating his thoughts over ‘untrue news’ that journalists so easily publish.

. The former Liverpool boss said, a I know what Real Madrid is. The only thing that surprises me is that sensationalism and scrutinizing the team is what matters most for some of you [journalists]. It surprises me how many things are reported that aren’t true and that can mislead the Real Madrid supportersa .

The Madrid-born manager also had a few kind words for club legend Raul, adding that his compatriot was among the top five Spanish footballers in history.

a RaA?l would find a place in any team in the world. He’s a legend. Raul at his best would get into any team and if he was able to become a role model here he could do it anywhere. Without a doubt he is among the top five players in the history of Spanish footballa .

When asked about his relationship with the medical team, Rafa was very confident of his rapport with the staff.

The 55-year old was also asked about his relationship with the medical team, and he was quick to acknowledge his excellent rapport with the department, saying they are doing a great job in keeping the players fit. Rafa also dismissed any questions of a rift between star players Ronaldo and Bale.
