Bayern Munich Make Contact With Liverpool Over Raheem Sterling: Bild

Bayern Munich have contacted Liverpool FC over potential move for contract rebel Raheem Sterling.

Bayern Munich have been linked with Raheem Sterling for a long while now but it had just been reports of the German giants “monitoring” the player and nothing more. German newspaper BILD claims that the Bavarians have declared they are interested in signing Raheem Sterling if the winger decides to leave Liverpool this summer.

Sterling has sparked off fresh rumors of him wanting a move away from the club with several reports of him asking he club hierarchy for a move away doing rounds since yesterday. The England international has rejected a new contract offer worth a reported A?100,000-a-week. His concern seems to stem from the lack of trophies – now, or in the future – at Liverpool.

BILD claims that the Bundesliga giants have made contact with Sterling’s representatives over a possible move.

Pep Guardiola’s brother, Pere, who is a football agent, has reportedly been in touch with the youngster and his contractual team to make them aware of Bayern’s pursuit for his signature.

The German champions are believed to want to inject the squad with younger, fresher players after going through a dip in form recently, that has seen them crash out of the Champions League as well as lose league games (despite sealing the league win some time back).

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus are also interested in the player.

Sterling has two years left to run on his Liverpool deal and is due to meet with manager Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre on Friday.
