Liverpool revealed their squad for the upcoming pre-season tour in the Far East and Australia.

Mario Balotelli was not included in the pre-season tour which pretty much signals where things are headed for the out of favor, and out of luck Italian. Other notable absentees included Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique. The three will continue their pre-season preparations in Liverpool during the time being but it is clear that The club is effectively looking to sell the trio.

Meanwhile Raheem Sterling, who has been in news for refusing to go for the tour, is part of the 30 man list. The 20 year-old has been rebelling and didn’t turn up for training for two continuous days claiming he was “sick”. However, the club expect him to travel with them to Bangkok. It is of course, not certain whether the Englishman will actually do the same, but if he doesn’t, he will be “liable to disciplinary action”.

The Mirror claimed yesterday, that the Reds were willing to let the young star “rot in reserves” if Manchester City didn’t match the A?50m valuation. They reported: The Redsa American top-brass would eventually accept a bid that goes through the A?50m barrier, but have now made clear they are prepared to sit the situation out if it doesna t a which would condemn Sterling to spending months in the reserves until the transfer window reopens in January.

As expected, new arrival Roberto Firmino will not be a part of the squad along with compatriot . Philippe Coutinho, both of who were part of Brazil’s Copa America contingent. Emre Can and Tiago Ilori participated in the Under-21s European Championships for Germany and Portugal respectively and the two have also not been called up for the tour.

A number of academy players have been included and they will be looking to impress in the pre-season to have a shot at being included in cup games and in the squad for other games during the course of next season. Defenders Dan Cleary and Joe Maguire, midfielders Pedro Chirivella and Jordan Rossiter, as well as forwards Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Sheyi Ojo are the names that find themselves included. A notable absentee from the list is Jerome Sinclair.
