Arsene Wenger Says Arsenal Wonai??i??t Take Burnley Lightly, Happy With Teamai??i??s Cohesive Performance

Arsenala s Arsene Wenger said that his team wona t be taking relegation threatened Burnley lightly and will be completely focused on getting the job done.

“Burnley is a tough test for everybody,” Wenger warned in pre-game press conference. “You shouldna t look at the table because they started slowly but recently they have played very well against all the big teams in the league.

“They are quite efficient at home because they have made 18 of their 26 points at home and therefore we have to make sure we produce the expected performance on the commitment, on the focus and on the quality of our game.”

Arsene Wenger also talked about the cohesion with which his team is playing and racking up the wins, to the extent that Arsenal are in the unlikely position of challenging for the title if there are any slip-ups from Chelsea.

“Of course, you have to be at their level of physical performance, because they will be there,” Arsene said.

“On the rest, you want to produce the quality of performance that is expected from us on the technical side. You have first to fight with them physically, thata s for sure.”

a The target of the work during the season is that your team becomes stronger and we still have many challenges until the end,a Arsene said.

a Ita s interesting that we are in good form and ita s interesting that we have a good team dynamic. Hopefully we can maintain that until the end of the season, then we will see where we stand.

a We look behind us and people are chasing us, in front of us therea s quite a big distance with Chelsea but we work very hard to reduce that. They have a difficult schedule and we have a difficult schedule. What we can only do is master our own schedule.

a What we want is to go as high as we can until the end of the season, give our best and we are also in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. We are at an important moment of the Premier League season and it is a period where you show your quality by focusing on the next game and maintaining the quality.a

Arsene also said that one of the reasons his team are performing so well is because of the full disposal of his squad that he has, giving him various options every game.

a We had a difficult start this season compared to last year,a Arsene said. a This season we had many players out for four or five months after the World Cup and since we have found our cohesion with everybody back, we feel we have moved forward.

a I just think we are at a stage of the season where we took off in January, because we had nearly everybody available. That made us more efficient. We have maybe a better team balance between attacking and defending as well than we had [in the period] until January.a
