Arsenal FC Team News: Ramsey out with hamstring problem, Wilshere motivated to return

Arsenala s Arsene Wenger has revealed the team news ahead of the FA cup game against Middlesbrough.

Arsene confirmed that Aaron Ramsey would be out, following the hamstring injury he suffered when he came on against Leicester City in Arsenala s midweek game. He also confirmed that Wilshere was back in normal training but still away from match fitness.

Arsene said, a Aaron Ramsey will be out, he has a little hamstring strain. Alexis is still not able to go out, he could be short again for Sunday. Jack Wilsherea s back in normal training but has been out for [more than two] months and misses competition. He worked very hard and is focused, committed, but it will take him a while to get back to competitive level.

When asked if Ramsey had any underlying problem, Arsene said they hadna t found anything as such.

He said, a We havena t found the underlying reason. There is an underlying reason that is certainly medical or bio-mechanical because he is a guy who is serious, works hard, has a controlled and disciplined life, so therea s no obvious reason why he should have muscular problems.a

Arsene, however, refused to change his training regime, saying every player at Arsenal has his own regime that is personalized to suit his needs.

Arsene said, a No, we have individualised training for the players and prevention. I dona t think that is any special case that has been neglected, ita s just that we have to find a reason why that happens. Ita s not a major injury, ita s a Grade One, a small injury, a small muscle problem.a

The manager expanded a little more on Jack Wilshere, saying he is motivated to come back quickly into the Arsenal team.

a Hea s motivated and focused to come back as quickly as possible. He worked very hard but he has still been out for [more than two] months and what he needs now is to get back. Competition gives you that sharpness that training cannot give you because ita s about a combination of fitness and decision-making – and speed of decision-making. It takes a while to get that back.a

Arsene also said of the trio of Arteta, Debuchy and Oxlade-Chamberlain, only the Ox was the closest to a return.

Arsenal fans would be hoping that their team kicks on from the loss at Spurs and continue the winning sequence that re-started with Leicester. With the business end of the season coming up, and let-ups now would be very costly for the team.
