Alexis Sanchez To Become Highest Paid Arsenal Player, As The Chilean Opens Talks Of A New Deal

Sanchez will hold the key to Arsenal's fortunes on Sunday

Arsenal FC striker Alexis Sanchez is set to open talks for a new deal with the Gunners, that will increase his salary of A?130,000 per week and will keep him at the Emirates for the next five years.

As reported by Goal.com, Alexis Sanchez will be negotiating a new deal with the Gunners that will make him the club’s highest paid squad member. Sanchez currently earns A?130,000 per week, and is the third highest played player after Mesut Ozil (A?140,000) and Theo Walcott (A?140,000).

The Chilean was bought in 2014, and has already paid back more than a few instalments of the A?35m, with his brilliant form since arriving at North London.

The 26-year old scored 25 goals in his first season, and has already netted seven times in twice as many appearances this time around.

His current deal expires in 2018, and his agent has already started negotiations of a new deal, giving him the status of Arsenal’s highest paid player.

Sanchez has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and Arsenal would be keen on giving a new contract to their star man.

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League, behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference. Sanchez will be pivotal to Arsenal’s crack at the title, and keeping him happy off the field is the least Arsenal can do.
