Manchester United manager Van Gaal has refused to rule out a move for Real Madridai??i??s Gareth Bale claiming that he will discuss all prospective transfers with the CEO at Old Trafford.
According to reports, Manchester United are planning a mega-bid to bring Gareth Bale back to England after just a year in Spain. Bale left Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for Real Madrid for a record transfer fee ofAi??A?78 million and has since then go on to win 4 trophies under Carlo Ancelotti. Manchester United were reported to have been keen to snatch the Welshman away from Madrid last year but failed to go through with the transfer.
However according to the reports, United are now keen to bring Gareth Bale to Manchester United and are preparing a bid of A?120 million to convince Florentino Perez and co to part with his star winger.
Speaking in his pre-match conference, Van Gaal has refused to rule out a move for Gareth Bale and has claimed that he will talk to his CEO about all possible transfers.
“I cannot discuss that (Gareth Bale) with you. I discuss that with my CEO and not anyone from the media.”
The fact that Louis Van Gaal has refused to deny the reports along with the strong rumours doing the rounds suggest that Manchester United are indeed planning to scoop Gareth Bale away from Real Madrid.
But for any such transfer to actually take place, Manchester United will have to convince both Real Madrid and Gareth Bale. Madrid spent a huge amount on Bale in orderAi?? to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu and though the Welshman was slow in adjusting to the Spanish La Liga, he has since then been an instrumental figure for Carlo Ancelotti. Bale scored a brilliant solo goal to land Real Madrid the Copa Del Rey last season and then also scored the winner in the Champions League finals for the Galacticos. He also scored in the recently concluded Club World Cup finals and is highly valued both by the manager and the fans in Spain.
In his 44 appearances last season, Gareth Bale scored a total of 22 goals and provided Madrid with 19 assists. And in his 22 appearances this season, the Welshman has already scored 11 goals and has provided 5 assists to his team-mates. In addition to the statistics, the fact that Bale shares a brilliant relationship with key players such as Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema only highlights the wingerai??i??s importance in the squad.
Hence it seems unrealistic that Real Madrid will be interested in selling Gareth Bale, especially after getting rid of Angel Di Maria who too went to Manchester United from the Santiago Bernabeu. Though James Rodriguez and Jese will be only too willing to take Baleai??i??s position in the squad, it seems unrealistic that Florentino Perez will part with his star winger despite the highly profitable bid supposedly being prepared by those at Manchester United.
