Roy Keane Blasts Manchester United, Carrick’s Wife Reacts On Twitter

Roy Keane has blasted his former side Manchester United following their dismal performance in the Champions League against Olympiakos.

Manchester United produced, what was perhaps their worst European performance in recent times at Greece last night as they slumped to a 0-2 defeat against Olympiakos. More than the scoreline, it was the pedestrian performances of the players which has drawn criticism from all corners. The defence looked shaky, the midfield was toothless and the attack, which consisted of Robin van Persie and Rooney, managed just one shot on target in the whole 90 minutes.

Former Manchester captain Roy Keane was also unimpressed by the playerai??i??s lack of effort on the night and came down heavily on his former side. His reactions came after the post-match interview of Michael Carrick, as Keane claimed that his comments were as ai???flatai??i?? as his performance on the field.

“That interview was just like the performance ai??i?? flat. He should say a bit more, have a bit more urgency even in his interview,” Keane said.

“That just reflected United’s performance tonight ai??i?? flat, with no urgency.ai??? ai??i?? The former Manchester midfielder said to ITV.

Keane also believed that Manchester United currently lack quality in their ranks and that a lot of rebuilding is required in the summer. He also insisted that fans have been ai???brainwashedai??i?? to believe that the Premier League is the best league in the world, and that it has fallen behind on many aspects.

“There is a lack of confidence and there are some players who just don’t have the quality.

“We’ve been brainwashed that the Premier League is the best in the world. Nonsense.

“It’s the best brand in the world, but they have fallen behind ai??i?? United more than most.

“They need six or seven players to rebuild the club. Privately, David Moyes will be shocked at the quality he is working with.” ai??i?? Keane added.

The former Irish international pointed out that Olympiakos were technically superior to Manchester United.

“They keep saying: ‘Ah, well, next game, next game’. For some of them there won’t be another game. That’s the reality.

“I don’t think any of us could have predicted that,” he said after United’s miserable surrender in the Athens district of Piraeus.

“They (United) just never turned up. Olympiakos were very, very good and technically they were better than United tonight.” ai??i?? He explained.

Meanwhile, Michael Carrickai??i??s wife, Lisa Carrick, took to twitter to react to Roy Keaneai??i??s comment regarding her husband, where she not only claimed that Keane wants to provoke a reaction, but also abused him.
