Real Madrid is expected to have a busy summer break ahead of them as they look to hold on to their players reportedly being targeted by other European clubs.
Making full use of their deep pockets, Real Madrid have assembled one of the strongest and deepest squads in Europe. The presence of more than one world class player for almost every position has led to the problem of ai???too-manyai??i?? and this summer might be crucial for the Los Blancos after reports emerge linking their players to other clubs.
Angel Di Maria, Coentrao and Morata have figured heavily in the transfer news this season and reports now emerge that the trio are being targeted by Juventus in a sensational summer coup to strengthen their squad.
Coentrao has been heavily linked in the past with a move away from Real Madrid. The Portuguese is reportedly being looked at as a replacement for Patrice Evra at Manchester United and it seems that Juventus too are keen to add him to their roster. Brought to Madrid by Jose Mourinho, Coentrao has had a love-hate relationship with the Spanish club.
He has figured heavily for Real Madrid in the past but has played second-fiddle to Marcelo who has failed to establish himself in the squad due to his injury concerns. Both the left-backs have struggled severely with their injuries and seem to be alternating in the starting line-up. However Marcelo is the clear favourite and as almost always been preferred ahead of his Portuguese counter-part when in optimal condition.
Angel Di Maria is another player who has had an off-on relationship with Santiago Bernabeu. Not quite in his best form last season, Di Maria has been sensational for Real Madrid this season and has given tough competition for a starting spot under Ancelotti. So much so that Di Maria has been employed in central midfield where has linked up well with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale to provide Madrid with the necessary artillery to overcome opposition in the various competitions.
However with the growing presence of Jese in the ranks and Isco fighting for a starting position, Di Maria has often been relegated to the bench despite his fine performances. He pledged to stay at Real last season and fight for his position in the club but reports linking him to other clubs have poured in thick ever since last summer.
Dubbed as the next Raul, Morata was supposed to play a much more important role under Ancelotti than what has been meted out to the youngster. Playing a crucial part in their last campaign, Morata has been over shadowed by Jeseai??i??s performance this season and has not been given enough game-time to develop his prowess at Real Madrid.
With Karim Benzema coming good for Real Madrid in the past couple of months, Morata will have a hard time convincing Carlo Ancelotti of his merit and has been repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal who are in urgent need of a striker. It seems Juventus too are interested in bring the young Spaniard to their club but will have a tough task convincing Real to part with their only substitute striker this summer.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Real Madrid seem to have beaten Barcelona in the race to sign Matyas Tajti, a 15-year old Hungarian wonderkid. The youngster first drew attention from Barcelona who invited the player for trials at La Masia. However Real Madrid seem to have an upper hand in the negotiations as Tajti plays at the Puskas academy, one that has a collaborative arrangement with Real Madrid. Hence it seems that the youngster is most likely to sign for the Los Blancos and will do so shortly after his 16th birthday.
