Manchester United manager David Moyes has rubbished reports claiming Robin van Persie could be out for six months.
Before Manchester Unitedai??i??s match against Swansea City, which they eventually won 2-0 as Danny Welbeck and Antonio Valencia got on the score-sheet, reports suggested that the Red Devils have injury concerns for both Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie. The Dutch international has only started in 10 of Unitedai??i??s 21 Premier League fixtures so far as he has faced a lot of fitness concerns. His absence has been one of the prime reasons why the reigning Premier League Champions have struggled in the league and despite making only 10 starts the 30-year-old has scored seven goals in already. Reports suggested that Robin van Persie is being troubled by a recurring thigh injury, something which affected him badly during his Arsenal days as well and that the Dutchman could be side-lined for a period of six months, essentially ending this season for him. But David Moyes has refuted these claims. The former Everton manager has accepted that van Persieai??i??s injury is similar to the one he faced at Arsenal, although he believes that the striker will be back soon.
