Liverpool are ready to make an A?8million summer bid for Mateo Kovacic after his agent revealed the player is unhappy at Inter Milan.
Reports suggest Liverpool are plotting a move for Inter Milan’s Mateo Kovacic amid vast speculation of the player having a row with manager over lack of time on the pitch.
Kovacic is one of the top players of Europe and had been picked up for the first team for Inter from Dinamo Zagreb after Philippe Coutinho and Wesley Sneijder left the club. However, putting upAi??impressive displays, the 19-year-old has been dropped in recent weeks amid claims of a fall out with manager Walter Mazzarri ai??i?? and a transfer is on the cards.
Kovacicai??i??s agent refused to confirm the talk this week, but he has revealed his client is unhappy, telling reporters:

Mateo Kovacic made his debut for the Nerazzuri in February 2013 at the age of 18. Upon his arrival, he was given the number 10 shirt, worn previously by the Dutchman Wesley Sneijder. He was entrusted with the midfield duties at such a young age and did not disappoint and by the end of the season, the Croatian was a starter in every Serie A game.
Kovacic is a classic playmaker and possesses amazing attacking threat, but at the same time he has the talent to play ahead or behind that role. He can play anywhere in the midfield, in the centre, behind the striker or on the flanks. The 19 year old started of as an attacking midfielder, but he has astoundingly transformed his game in Milan, playing like aAi??registaAi??or a deep-lying playmaker. Like a goodAi??regista, the Croatian has good vision of the game, can make great interceptions and is able to perform a clean tackle. However, his natural position might be in a more advanced position. The youngster enjoys dropping deep to get the ball and then drive forward with pace and give the defenders a nightmare as he links with the other attackers.
Although he has represented his side 25 times in the league this season, 17 times has been from on the bench.
Clearly Kovacic is a player who would help Liverpool in the midfield and would give Rodgers more midfield options at his disposal. With the Croatian’s versatility, he can play in different roles to accommodate whoever the Liverpool manager would prefer in the midfield alongside him. At 19 years of age, Liverpool would only benefit from his transfer as the player would get even better with more experience, despite having the potential to fit into the starting line-up straightaway.
Itai??i??s reported that the Reds plan to make the offer before the World Cup, in a bid to get Kovacicai??i??s future sorted before he turns out for Croatia at the tournament.
Arsenal and Tottenham have previously been linked with the midfielder, who is also an excellent dribbler of the ball.
