Saloman Kalou to Liverpool.
Liverpool FC are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of ex-Chelsea star Saloman Kalou. The 28 year old player currently represents Ligue 1 side Lille and also has suitors in the form of Tottenham and Arsenal.
Italian side AS Roma and Turkish club Besiktas are also interested in the Ivory Coast international, but he apparently is looking to come back to the English Premier League. His current club, Lille, are willing to let him go for a feeAi??around A?2.5million.
The 28 year old scored 60 goals and gave 40 assists in his six years at the club. Presently, he seems to be in a good form,Ai??having scored three times in his last two matches. The player was also the brightest for Rudi Garcia’s team last season, notching 16 goals and 6 assists for Lille.
The player has knowledge of the Premier League and his experience could add to the Reds side, who also need attacking reinforcements.
Benitez wants Reina permanently
Napoli boss Rafa Benitez has sought to make Pepe Reinaai??i??s loan a permanent switch to the Serie A side, according to reports.
The Kop favorite, Pepe Reina, has impressed all in Italy. In his present stint as a Liverpool loanee at Napoli, Reina has won over the fans and has done a magnificent job representing the side. The 31 year old was adored by the Liverpool fans, but the fans who were late in accepting his clear dip in form, have done so now, and have got a more than good enough replacement in the form of Simon Mignolet. A permanent exit from Anfield, is but imminent for the Spaniard.
Reina represented Liverpool 394 times in his eight seasons at the club and Benitez is offering his old club a fee of A?4.9m. It looks like Napoli would get Reina on a permanent basis next season.
Rodgers scouts 17 year old Dele Alli
Brendan Rodgers, who is a great admirer of youth talents, scouted 17-year-oldAi??Ai??Milton Keynes Dons youngster Dele Alli. The Liverpool boss was in the crowd to watch the highly rated midfielder in the third round clash between MK Dons and Wigan.
Dons boss Karl Robinson confirmed everyone’s suspiscions when he said:
I know Brendan quite well and we speak about different players all the time.Ai??There may have been another reason why he was at the game today, but youai??i??ve seen Dele and heai??i??s special. Yeah, he did some silly things but heai??i??s 17 years of age.
