Chelsea Skipper John Terry signed a one-year contract extension with the club which will mark his 20th year in the club. Manager Jose Mourinho had recommended contract extensions for Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole as well.
Senior players John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole’s futures were in dark as they were nearing the end of contracts in Chelsea colours. The trio’s contracts were set to run out next month and all of them made a lap of honour at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea’s last home match against Norwich City earlier.
