Chelsea Football Club have announced that they have decided to sell Fernando Torres on a permanent basis to Serie A side AC Milan.
The club announced on their official website a few moments ago that Torres will complete his move on January 5th, “Chelsea Football Club thanks Fernando for his service during the past four seasons and wishes him the very best for the future.
“The striker moved to the San Siro on a two-year loan deal in August and on January 5 he will complete a permanent transfer to the Serie A side.”
Since his move from Liverpool, Torres has struggled to replicate the goal scoring form that made Chelsea pay a huge sum ofAi??A?50m in 2011. As a result, it doesn’t come as a surprise that they have decided to sell him.

Although Milan have signed him permanently, he could be on his way to Atletico Madrid in January as the Italian giants have all but agreed on a deal that will involve Alessio Cerci coming to Italy. Cerci has struggled to find first team and action with Atletico and despite reports that he hasn’t decided on where his future lies, he could jump the ship to Milan in order to play regular football.
