Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has agreed personal terms with Arsenal FC, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Alvaro Morata has made 13 appearances for Real Madrid in the La Liga this season, out of which 12 came as a substitute, yet the Spanish U-21 international has attracted a lot of interest from various clubs across Europe this season. Initially Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Fiorentina were monitoring his progress at the Spanish capital, and recent reports have also linked him with a move to Inter. But the Gunners were always considered as the favourites to land him and according to English media, Arsene Wenger wanted to sign him on loan during the winter transfer window but failed in their attempt.
But Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has now reported that the 21-year-old has agreed personal terms with the London club for a move in the summer, and that Arsenal and Real Madrid will now have to agree a fee for the highly rated striker.

The need for a new striker at Arsenal has been present since the start of this summer, but the Gunners have missed out on all their targets so far. Olivier Giroud has had to shoulder too much responsibilities this season, and although the Frenchman has done fairly well, Arsenal will need a more prolific forward to take their team to the next level. Arsene Wenger is once again expected spend big money at the start of next season and a forward is high on his priority list. Although Morata wonai??i??t be a big improvement on Giroud at this age, he does have the potential to be so in the future.
Real Madrid on the other hand are supposed willing to sell Morata after the rise of Jese Rodriguez this season. Moreover, the Spanish giants are expected to sign at least one new striker in the summer, with Luis Suarez believed to be high on their priority list. This will force Morata down the pecking order and a move to Arsenal could benefit all parties involved. But Real Madrid are expected to push for a buy back/first refusal clause in this contract as the coaching staff do recognize Morataai??i??s potential and unlikely to let go of him with no strings attached. Both the clubs will have to agree a fee though before this move can materialize and the Spanish club to demand as much as ai??i??15 million for the 21-year-old striker.
