Highly rated Rubin Kazan striker Sardar Azmoun insists he has received offers from Arsenal FC, Juventus and AC Milan.
The 19-year-old started his career at Iranian club Etka Gorgan before eventually moving to Russian club Rubin Kazan in 2013. He made his senior team debut this season in the Europa League when Rubin Kazan faced Jagodina and became the youngest Iranian to play in an European match. Azmoun has scored four goals so far this season and has drawn interest from a lot of other European clubs. He has been prolific for the Iranian U-20 side and has scored 19 goals in 17 appearances for them.
Azmoun, who has earlier received offer from Inter Milan before he signed for Rubin Kazan, has now revealed in an interview that he has received offers from Arsenal, Juventus and AC Milan. He has also received interest from Barcelona, but the Spanish clubai??i??s transfer ban has put them out of picture at the moment, but the Iranian did reveal that Arsenal and AC Milan are currently in ai???seriousai??i?? talks with his representatives. Azmoun has also expressed his delight at having received an offer from a club like Arsenal, although he insists that at the moment he is concentrating on finishing the season with Rubin Kazan.
“I have offers from three major clubs: Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus.
“I also had an offer from Barcelona, but due to their transfer ban the club is out of the picture at the moment.
“The talks with both Milan and Arsenal are getting very serious. Both clubs have spoken to Kazan.
“But for me, it’s important to keep focus on Kazan. We have seven games left, I will decide after these games.
“I’m very proud to have Arsenal looking at me but, as I said, right now I’m only focusing on the Russian league.” ai??i?? Sardar Azmoun said in an interview.
Azmounai??i??s current contract with the Russian club runs till 2015 and he is yet to hold talks with them regarding a contract extension. Rubin Kazan, who are struggling near the bottom of the Russian Premier League table, are unlikely keep hold of him beyond this summer. Arsenal are expected to spend a lot at the end of this season and are primarily expected to strengthen their options upfront with questions being raised about the future of Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner leaving Emirates in the summer as well. The Gunners are expected to sign at least one big name striker and another to provide enough back-up. If this deal with Rubin Kazan goes through, Azmoun might have to compete with Yaya Sanogo for the role of the third choice striker in the squad and considering the young Iranianai??i??s talent, he will be a decent addition for the Gunners.
