Arsenal face race to convince Laurent Koscielny to sign a new contract as PSG, Monaco and Bayern consider moves for the Frenchman.
English newspaper Daily Telegraph has reported today that ArsenalAi??must fight off interest fromAi??Paris St–Germain, Monaco and Bayern MunichAi??to convince Laurent Koscielny to sign a new contract.
Matt Law of Telegraph reports that Koscielny has been Arsenalai??i??s most consistent player this season and has developed into one of the best central defenders in the Premier League. His form has alerted PSG, Monaco and Bayern Munich, with all clubs aware Koscielny is on relatively modest wages of around A?50,000 a week at the Emirates Stadium. That is less than defensive partner Per Mertesacker, who signed a A?90,000-a-week deal last month, and Thomas Vermaelen, who earns A?70,000 a week.
Arsenal, however, are reportedly hoping to get Koscielny, whose current deal expires in 2017, to sign a bigger deal in the summer, matching Mertesacker.
Koscielny spoke last year of his desire to win trophies with Arsenal, meaning that failure to win in the FA Cup final or qualify for the Champions League could see the defender question his position.

PSG and Monaco are both in the market for a central defender this summer. PSG are also interested in Chelseaai??i??s David Luiz.
Pep Guardiola, the Bayern manager, has been a fan of Koscielny since he was in charge at Barcelona.

During his first season in England, Koscielny attracted a lot of criticism for a series of uncertain performances and errors. But he has improved immeasurably over the last three years and has developed a good understanding with Mertesacker.
Arsenal are also in contract negotiations with Koscielnyai??i??s team-mate Bacary Sagna and have not given up on convincing him to stay at the club.
