Arsenal Official ai??i?? Mathieu Debuchy Completes His Move From Newcastle United

Arsenal FC have completed the signing French international Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.

Mathieu Debuchy has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer as the Gunners looked to replace Bacary Sagna, who joined Manchester City, and the London club have now officially revealed him as their second signing of the season.

Debuchy joined Newcastle United from Lille in January transfer window of 2013 and became a permanent fixture in the line-up since his arrival. The 29-year-old right back made 28 starts in the league for Newcastle United last season and produced some eye catching performances.

Debuchy earned a place in the French national team squad that flew to Brazil and became their first choice right back, ahead of former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna.

Arsenal are expected to spend heavily in this transfer market and a new right back was at the top of their priority list after Bacary Sagna decided to join Manchester City. The Gunners have been linked with a lot of possible replacement for the Frenchmen. Arsenal were initially considering a move for Toulouse defender Serge Aurier, but Arsene Wenger was keen to add a more experienced player to his squad. While another target, Atletico Madrid right back Juanfran, decided to extend his contract with the Spanish club.

Debuchy has now completed his move to the Emirates and he is looking forward to playing in the Champions League with Arsenal.
