Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down Luis Suarez rumours, and has also revealed the intention of Arsenal FC transfer target, Alvaro Morata, to leave the club.
Alvaro Morata has been the subject of intense transfer speculations since last season and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has now revealed that the 21-year-old will leave the Spanish capital in search of regular first team football.
“The player [Alvaro Morata] has decided to leave in search of more minutes and the club has agreed it” – Ancelotti told the press.
Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan and Wolfsburg have all been linked with a move for the Spanish U-21 international. The above statement will now ensue a scamper for his signature. The Gunners are expected to spend heavily in this transfer market and signing a new striker is at the top of their priority list. Arsene Wenger has been interested in Morata since January, when Real Madrid turned down Arsenalai??i??s bid to sign him on loan. The London club are still pursuing the Real Madrid striker, but will face competition from Italian Champions Juventus.
Real Madrid still sees Morata as a future prospect though and will be keen to insert a buy-back clause in his contract. The former Atletico Madrid youth product made only three starts in the La Liga last season and Ancelotti is certain that regular first team action will help in his development.
“If he gets the chance to play it will be good for him to have those opportunities for a year.” ai??i?? The Real Madrid manager said.
Ancelotti has also confirmed that Real Madrid will sign a “young striker with the same profile as Morata” if and when he leaves Santiago Bernabeu. The recently crowned European Champions have also been heavily linked with a move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez in this window, but the Real Madrid manager has played down those rumours and has refused to provide any details.
“It is difficult to improve what we have in attack.
“Suarez is a fantastic player but it would be a lack of respect to talk about signings at this stage.” ai??i?? Ancelotti said.
There have also been speculations regarding the future of Angel Di Maria at Madrid. The Argentine international was one of the most consistent performers for Real Madrid last season, and also produced a match-winning performance in the final of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid. Yet, reports suggest that Real Madrid might part ways with the winger in order to fund their move for Suarez. But Ancelotti has rubbished these reports and has stressed on his importance at the club.
“I think that Di Maria knows very well that everyone loves him.
