Fabio Boriniai??i??s agent Marco De Marchi has played down rumors suggesting that Liverpool will let the Italian striker leave on loan in January.
Fabio Borini was one of the protagonists of the summer transfer window. He received some offers and was rumored to leave. He did not reach agreement with Premier League sides Sunderland and QPR while both the Milan clubs wanted him on loan. Liverpool accepted offers for his services from Sunderland and QPR but Borini refused to move despite strong competition in his position in the squad and sent a clear message that he wanted to fight for the shirt.
Inter Milan are reportedly ramping up their interest in Fabio Borini again as it seems the Liverpool striker has failed to relaunch his career even after Daniel Sturridgeai??i??s injury. Fiorentina are also looking for a striker to address their injury concerns in that department after Mario Gomez and Guiseppe Rossi suffered long term injuries earlier this season.
Despite struggling for game time this season, his agent Marco De Marchi has suggested his client is keen to remain on Mersyside and ruled out a loan move.
“Borini is a top level player, so consequently he has a contract with Liverpool and any club interested knows how to approach them,” his agent told FcInterNews.it.
“At this moment I am certainly not going to look for another club, as the boy is happy to remain at Liverpool. Letai??i??s not forget he left a journey he already started at Roma in order to come to England.Liverpool have no intention of loaning him out, as they already proved in August. We know that and so do all the clubs who came looking for him in the last transfer session.”
“The situation is exactly the same as it was in September, in the sense that he is very happy to be part of this important team. He has managed to find some space playing in the Champions League and starting in the Premier League. Things are progressing as expected. At this moment we donai??i??t have anything in mind for his future, as the lad is focused only on his team and the current campaign.”
Borini has a contract until June 2016, so talks over a renewal or sale are likely to be discussed soon. He was on the bench for Liverpoolai??i??s last two games, an away defeat against Basel and a victory over West Bromwich Albion.
