Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger warns his side about being complacent against Norwich. He also sheds light on the availability of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.
Arsenal have made a fantastic start to their season, both in Europe and in the Premier League. The London club are the league leaders currently and go into their next game against Norwich as outright favourites. But Norwich are no push overs. They might be near the bottom of the table, but the points they have earned hardly reflects the performances they have put in.
Arsene Wenger is aware of threat Norwich possesses and has warned his side against complacency. The Frenchman also felt that it is important for his side to start well in this game and continue their momentum after such a long international break. Wenger has reiterated the Ai??fact that no team in the Premier League can be taken lightly and has highlighted their performance against Chelsea in their last match.
“At the top level, one of the keys is to switch on and off when it is right.
“The quality which is needed after a long break is to switch on again in a very quick, fast and efficient way. That is what is at stake and I am confident we will do that.
“We have learned something in the last 18 months, that the Premier League has changed, that every single game is a potential danger for any team in the league and the recent results in the Premier League have confirmed that.
“Every team who are favourites today are on their toes because they know every game is a potential danger.
“Norwich are much more dangerous (than last season) because they have (Johan) Elmander, (Ricky) van Wolfswinkel and technically they are very good in midfield.
“It is always a potentially dangerous game to play Norwich because they are a team with a good dynamic and are not scared to play. They showed that against Chelsea in the last game.” ai??i?? The Arsenal manager said.
There are some doubts about the fitness of Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil, but the duo is expected to start together for the very first this season. Much of the build up to this game has revolved around speculations about how these two wonderfully talented footballers will complement each other. The Gooners are extremely excited about seeing how this new attack functions against Norwich. But Arsene Wenger has emphasized on the fact that the most important thing is ai???team playai??i?? instead of individuals.
“You want all of your best players to play together in a very positive way, which is what will happen,” Wenger added.
“I am very happy with the team who have played until now, so we do not expect anything special (from the players coming back).
“What is important is that instead of focusing on one or two players, we focus on developing ourselves as a team and our team play, where there is still room for improvement. There is still the desire within the team to improve that.” ai??i?? Wenger added.

There were speculations regarding Ozilai??i??s fitness ahead of this game after the German international was substituted as he picked up a knock in the match against Sweden. Arsene Wenger insists that it wasnai??i??t a major injury and he is expected to be fit for the upcoming match.

Wenger has also stated that Bacary Sagna will undergo a late fitness test to confirm his availability for this game, while there is possibility of Cazorla starting in the match.
