Roma have announced that Director General Franco Baldini, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotpsur, has left the club.
Franco Baldini and Roma have mutually ended their contract and now the 52-year-old Italian is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur in the coming weeks. Baldini’s big money contract at Roma was a problem for Spurs as they would have had to pay a big compensation to Roma had they tried to buy out his contract, but Baldini has reportedly requested the club to come to a mutual agreement and allow him to leave Roma.

“He played an important role in the launch of our project. We wish him well in his future endeavors.” ai??i?? Club president James Pallotta told the press.
Roma have already appointed Walter Sabatini as Baldiniai??i??s replacement. The 52-year-old thanked the owner of the club for providing him the opportunity and wished them luck as leaves for England once again.

Tottenham Hotspur are planning to adopt the European model at the club. Spurs have been linked with AS Roma General manager Franco Baldini for the role of the technical director at the club. Tottenham missed out on some of their transfer targets this season and Daniel Levy wants to appoint a ai???specialistai??i?? who would help him in securing future deals. Baldini was appointed Fabio Capelloai??i??s assistant, when the Italian was in charge of the English national team. However, Baldini initially distanced himself from the speculations and another name was linked with this role ai??i?? former Barcelona technical director Txiki Begiristain, who joined Manchester City a few days later.
Tottenham manager Andre-Villas Boas has also approved Levyai??i??s plan of appointing someone in charge of the transfer activities of the club. AVB said ai??i??
