Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi of Feyenoord.
Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi have experienced meteoric growth in their reputations this season. Top European clubs from England and Germany have scouted them in recent games and there are a lot of speculations regarding their future at Feyenoord.
In the recently concluded international friendly between Holland and Italy, national team coach Louis van Gaal started the duo in the center of the Dutch defence and they impressed everyone showing maturity beyond their years. De Vrij and Martins Indi is expected to become a permanent fixture in the national team for years to come.
Incidently, both the 21-year-olds were born just three days apart from each other. De Vrij replaced Ron Vlaar as the captain of the Feyenoord side at the start of this season, at a very young age. The Dutchman has already attracted interested from Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United last summer, but decided against moving away from the club during that period. But his current contract expires in 2014 and reports suggest that talks for an new contract have stalled. De Vrij will consider his options at the end of this season.

His stature has often seen him draw comparison with former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam. He signed a contract extension, that will keep him at De Kuip till 2016, just few days back.
Recent reports from England suggest that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for landing the defensive duo in the summer. Liverpool are seeming concerned about the future of Sebastian Coates, who has been linked with a move back to Italy with Juventus interested in signing him. Tottenham on the other hand are looking to add depth to their squad with future of Gallas and Dawson in doubt.
Feyenoord have reportedly set a combined price tag of A?25million for the Dutch duo. It would be interesting to see if Liverpool and Tottenham are driven away by Feyenoordai??i??s high demands.
