Arsenal Cast Their Eyes On Atletico Madrid Forward

Arsenal FC are preparing to launch a bid for Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa in the summer.

The 24-year-old striker is enjoying his breakthrough season at Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian forward, who was on loan to Rayo Vallencano last season, has managed to make his mark upfront despite the presence of someone like Falcao alongside him.

Deigo Costa has already socred 15 goals this season from 31 appearances, but the Brazilian forwardai??i??s game has more to it than just goals. He is brilliant at setting up his team mates as well and has managed to rack up 13 assists this season already. He is strongly built and is known for making driving runs at defence. He is a fairly good header of the ball and is very direct with his approach on the pitch.

Costaai??i??s good form has earned him a call to the Brazilian national team = most recently in yesterdayai??i??s friendly match against Russia. The 24-year-old is also versatile and can play across various position on the pitch ai??i?? he can play as a left winger or wide forward, as a striker and can also drop deep and play in the hole between defence and the midfield of the opponent.

The Atletico Madrid forward has not only managed to grab the attention of Luis Felipe Scholari, but he has also managed to attract interest from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The London club are looking forward to a busy summer ahead of the next season as Wenger is expected to spend heavily in order to rebuild a squad capable of challenging for titles.

Arsenal needs to sign another striker in the summer as they are very thin in that department of the pitch and according to reports, Arsene Wenger feels that Diego Costa fits the bill perfectly. But it will be interesting to see if Atletico decided to part ways with Costa, given Falcaoai??i??s future at the club is in doubt.
