Arsenal FC are interested in signing Real Sociedadai??i??s 21-year-old forward/winger Antoine Griezmann in the summer.
Antoine Greizmann, in particular, has been in brilliant form off-late. He has scored four goals and made one assist in his last six games ai??i?? which has brought him two man of the match awards. The French U-21 international is one of the hottest young talents in Europe at the moment and incredibly, he has already made 140 appearances in the last four seasons, after being promoted to the first team squad of the club back in 2009 at the age of 17!
He has developed immensely over the last two seasons in particular and was part of the Under-19 French squad that won the European football championship back in 2010. Greizmann has attracted interest from top clubs all across Europe with Liverpool, Barcelona, Tottenham, Bordeaux, Marseille and Valencia monitoring his progress at the Spanish club.
But according to recent reports in Spain, Arsenal are looking making a move for the youngster in the summer. Arsene Wenger will look to rebuild his squad ahead of next season and it is believed that Arsenal are ready to hand over a big transfer budget to the Frenchman in the summer and Greizmann is exactly the type of talent that Wenger admires.
The 21-year-old is versatile and play anywhere across the front four ai??i?? as a striker, left/right wide forward and also as a playmaker. Although he is still a work in progress and far away from being a finished article, Greizmann is quick, creative and most importantly, he is an immensely confident footballer.
One can argue that Arsenal already have a lot of similar footballer in their squad, but Arshavin is likely to be sold in the summer and that would free up a space for another attacker in the squad. Although he is far from being the experienced-big-name players that the fans would expect to arrive next season, the young Frenchman can certainly make a positive impact on the squad.
Interestingly, reports also suggest that Arsenal are looking to bring back Greizmannai??i??s team mate Carlos Vela back to the Emirates following his wonderful seasons at the Spanish club.
