Liverpool are keen to re-sign Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid. The Reds have also kept an eye on CSKA Moscow attacker Keisuke Honda.
However, Alonso could re-sign for the Reds in the summer next season if Madrid fails to offer him a long-term contract. Liverpool are keeping an eye on Japanese attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda. Honda has made 71 appearances for the Russian club since signing from VVV Venlo in 2010. Honda has been publicly criticized by his manager recently and according to reports the Japanese star is keen to leave the club in January.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be highly interested in signing the midfield dynamo. The 26-year-old attacker is currently into the final year of his present contract at CSKA Moscow and can negotiate a pre-contract with any club in January.
Lazio, who were close to signing Honda at the start of this season, could also revive their interest in the midfielder during the winter transfer window. German club Borussia Dortmund were also recently linked with a move for the Japanese star as they search for continue their search for Kagawaai??i??s replacement.
Honda is a dynamic player who will add a lot of attacking threat to the Liverpool attack if Rodgers manages to sign him ahead of other potential buyers.
