Martin Caceres on the verge of joining Juventus
Juventus is set to complete the transfer of Uruguay International defender Martin Caceres by Friday.
Verdict : It has been one of the most prolonged transfer saga of the season with Sevilla and Juventus failing to agree on Ai??transfer fee till now. Finally it looks like a fee around ai??i??10 million has been agreed between the clubs. Caceres will add steel to the Juventus defense and will enhance the Turin clubai??i??s title credentials. Demba Ba confirms he wonai??i??t leave Newcastle in January
The red-hot striker has cleared the air regarding his possible departure from St James’s Park this January. But Ba hasnai??i??t really committed his future to the club for long term, saying he would love to play for PSG someday. In an interview when asked about his links with PSG, he said
“Join PSG? Yeah, why not? It’s possible,” he told RMC.
“I have always supported PSG. And it’s an attractive club.”
“But it will be difficult to do that in January. I’m in Newcastle and the fans like me. The transfer market will be closed when I return from the CAN (Africa Cup of Nations), so I won’t focus on it.”
“My first goal is the CAN and to enjoy a good result. I will then continue to play good matches with Newcastle. We undertook something, and I’d like to go all the way.”

Arsenal chasing Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou
Reports about a possible Arsenal bid for Salomon Kalou have been doing rounds all day. Rumors state that Kalou has returned from his pre-tournament training camp for African Cup of Nations to complete this deal. Metro, states that the deal has hit a stumbling block in the form of Kalouai??i??s A? 90,000 week wages.
Verdict : Kalouai??i??s contract expires at the end of this season. He doesnai??i??t seem to feature much in AVBai??i??s plans, with very few starts this season. So Chelsea might as well try to sell him if Arsenalai??i??s offer is good. But with regards to Arsenal it is a strange deal to say the least. Firstly Arsenal needed cover for Gervinho who will leave for African Cup of Nations, but Kalou wonai??i??t be providing that, since he will depart as well. Secondly, Arsenalai??i??s striking department looks weak when you remove Van Persie from it, and the Gunners do need a cover for their captain. Kalou is not an out an out striker and has hardly set the stage on fire at Chelsea. Yes, he will come cheap, but Wenger is hardly going to pay him the kind of wages he get at Stamford Bridge. The deal looks unlikely at this point.

Arsenal target Mario Gotze can stay as well
Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea have all been linked with this German prodigy through out the season, but it seems Gotze can extend his stay at Dortmund. In a recent interview he said

It is believed that the signing of Reus might have helped him make up his mind.
