West Ham United in solid position to sign Amario Cozier-Duberry

West Ham United are in a strong position to accelerate their pursuit of Amario Cozier-Duberry after Rangers saw multiple bids rejected.

According to Football Insider, West Ham United have maintained an interest in Cozier-Duberry and could now step up their pursuit of the young winger. The Brighton prospect is available for transfer, while Rangers have seen two bids rejected by the Premier League club. The Hammers could therefore enter the race in a serious way and attempt to bring the 21-year-old to the London Stadium.

West Ham have made a disappointing start to life in the Championship and are still waiting for their first victory. They drew away to Burnley before suffering a home defeat to Charlton Athletic, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo with the task of finding a way to help his team start winning and build momentum towards an immediate return to the Premier League.

The manager is still looking to strengthen his squad, particularly in attack. West Ham lost Crysencio Summerville to Al-Hilal and have been searching for new wide players ever since. The Hammers have signed Manor Solomon but remain eager to add another winger before the transfer deadline.

West Ham have a strong case on Cozier-Duberry

West Ham showed interest in Cozier-Duberry earlier in the transfer window but did not pursue the winger aggressively. Their stance now appears to have changed, with the club ready to make a serious push for the 21-year-old.

Rangers have reportedly seen at least two bids rejected, with the latest offer reported by Sky Sports Scotland. Their most recent proposal was worth around £7.5 million, while Brighton are seeking approximately £10 million.

West Ham must match Brighton’s £10 million valuation to secure the deal. It remains uncertain whether they will submit an offer that satisfies the Seagulls, but matching the reported asking price would put them in a strong competitive position. The Hammers are reportedly better placed financially than Rangers to meet Brighton’s demands. Their interest could also encourage the Scottish club to increase its offer or consider alternative targets.

Does Cozier-Duberry fit West Ham?

West Ham want to add depth in the wide areas, and Cozier-Duberry could provide cover for captain Jarrod Bowen. The winger has limited senior experience but has enjoyed loan spells with Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers since leaving Arsenal’s academy for Brighton.

He has made only one senior appearance for Brighton, but his performances during his loan spells have convinced several clubs that he has the potential to develop into a reliable attacker.

At West Ham, Cozier-Duberry would compete for a place in the starting lineup while offering pace and directness from the wings. He could also provide valuable squad depth during a demanding Championship campaign. Timing and price will prove decisive in West Ham’s pursuit; the Hammers must move quickly to overtake Rangers before Brighton receives a higher offer.
