Chelsea formulating €30 million offer to sign Ferran Torres

Chelsea will reportedly look to sign 24-year-old versatile Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona in a deal worth €30 million in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Ferran Torres is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window. So, the Barcelona forward has emerged as a target, with the West London club ready to cough up €30 million to secure his services later this year.

Ferran Torres and his Barcelona sojourn

Ferran Torres has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022. While the Spaniard’s output has been impressive, he has been in and out of the starting lineup at the Catalan club in the last three years.

Torres has been impressive thus far this season, contributing to 13 goals in only 947 minutes of game time across 26 appearances in all competitions. The 24-year-old versatile forward has found the back of the net ten times while providing three assists.

However, the Spanish international faces an uncertain future at FC Barcelona heading into the summer transfer window due to his inability to find a regular spot in the starting lineup. Meanwhile, the situation has not piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, with Chelsea among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Premier League return on the horizon?

Chelsea’s interest in Ferran Torres is understandable. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window. Mykhailo Mudryk is indefinitely unavailable after failing a doping test, while the other wide attackers have blown hot and cold in the 2024/25 season.

So, Torres has emerged as a viable target for Chelsea, with the West London club ready to cough up €30 million to secure his services in the summer transfer window. However, it is not clear if a bid worth €30 million will do the trick and help Chelsea land the 24-year-old Spaniard in the coming months.

The Spanish international might feel he has unfinished business in the Premier League. So, with game time not coming at the desired rate in his homeland, leaving Barcelona to join Chelsea might be the ideal scenario for Torres.
