Chelsea ready to go all out to sign Artem Dovbyk

Chelsea are willing to do everything in their power to sign Girona attacking sensation Artem Dovbyk ahead of next season.

According to Football Transfers via Fichajes, Chelsea are keen on reinforcing their attack in the upcoming transfer window and signing a new number nine is a top priority for them. The Blues have identified Artem Dovbyk as a top target and are willing to go all out to land him at the club.

Dovbyk has been in incredible form in the past 12 months, the 26-year-old has made quite a name for himself with his exceptional performances for Girona. He joined the Spanish outfit last summer from SK Dnipro-1 for just €7 million and hasn’t looked back since.

In his 36 league outings, the Ukrainian international found the back of the net on 24 occasions and has even bagged eight assists. He played a big part in helping them finish inside the top four of La Liga and secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Dovbyk’s performances have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. While he still has four years left on his deal at Girona, Chelsea look all set to knock on the Spanish club’s door for his signature.

The Blues want to sign Dovbyk

The Blues were not at their best in front of goal last season and signing a new number nine is a top priority for them. While they have been linked with Victor Osimhen for a long while now, signing the Napoli striker would cost a fortune.

His arrival will surely strengthen their attack manifolds but it could cause financial problems. As a result, they seem to have shifted their attention towards Dovbyk who has been on their radar for around 12 months.

The 26-year-old has all the qualities the Blues are looking for and more importantly, he will be a much cheaper option than Osimhen. The Ukrainian international has a release clause worth just €40 million making him a viable option for the London club.

Chelsea are ready to go all out to have him at Stamford Bridge starting next season. Their decision to shift their attention towards the Girona ace seems to suggest that they have made a strategic change to their transfer approach. They are now seeking more realistic and affordable options to bolster their ranks.
