Arsenal considering Quilindschy Hartman swoop

Arsenal might join the race to sign 22-year-old Dutch full-back Quilindschy Hartman from Feyenoord in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by the Daily Telegraph, Quilindschy Hartman is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a left-back heading into the summer transfer window. And they are mulling over entering the chase for the 22-year-old Feyenoord full-back.

Who is Quilindschy Hartman?

Quilindschy Hartman has established himself as one of the best young prospects in his homeland in the last few years. A native of Zwijndrecht, he began his youth career at VVGZ before a short stint with Excelsior Rotterdam followed. However, he came leaps and bounds after joining Feyenoord in 2010.

The Dutchman rose through the ranks at Feyenoord before making his first-team debut in August 2022. While the 22-year-old had to bide his time before breaking into the senior team, he made his mark last season as Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title. However, a long-term knee injury impacted his 2023/24 campaign.

However, Hartman managed over 3,000 minutes of game time across 38 appearances in all competitions before his injury, he will not return to action before January 2025. Nevertheless, the youngster’s stock remains high, with Premier League bigwigs keen on securing his services. And Arsenal will look to beat the competition to his signature.

London calling?

Arsenal’s interest in Quilindschy Hartman is understandable. Mikel Arteta wants a natural left-back to mix things up in his team’s offensive gameplay. While the Arsenal manager has preferred utilising a more defensive-minded left-back, Hartman can add a new dimension to the style of play.

So, the 22-year-old Dutch full-back is a viable target for Arsenal heading into the summer transfer window. However, while the Gunners are mulling over a possible move for Hartman, it is unclear if they will launch the offensive to secure his services in the summer transfer window.

Hartman can be a long-term solution on the left flank for Arsenal if he rediscovers his best form after returning from a long-term injury layoff. So, it will be interesting to see if the 22-year-old becomes a top target for the North London club in the coming weeks.
