Chelsea will reportedly look to sign 24-year-old Paraguayan winger Ramon Sosa from CA Talleres in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Argentine journalist Hernan Castillo of Radio Continental, Ramon Sosa is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a winger heading into the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, suitors need to trigger the South American winger’s release clause, with CA Talleres President Andres Fassi pointing to the figure to part ways with him.
Who is Ramon Sosa?
Ramon Sosa has been exceptional since joining CA Talleres from Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in January 2023. A native of Maracaná, the Paraguayan international spent his formative years in his homeland before graduating from the River Plate youth division nearly half a decade ago.
The 24-year-old has been excellent in the first few months of the 2024 season, amassing six goals and four assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Sosa’s progress at CA Talleres has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Chelsea.
CA Talleres will unlikely stand in his way, with President Andres Gassi admitting that a summer move is on the cards. However, suitors need to trigger his release clause, worth £15.7 million, to secure his services in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea’s interest in Ramon Sosa is somewhat perplexing. The Blues have several wide attackers in the first-team squad and should focus on signing a world-class striker and a top-notch centre-back before concentrating the remaining funds on wingers. Nevertheless, several candidates, including Michael Olise, have emerged on Chelsea’s radar.
However, Sosa is also a viable target, with his release clause of £15.7 million making it easier for Chelsea to pursue him while reserving the required funds for a striker and a centre-back. However, the West London club should offload a wide attacker first before signing the 24-year-old South American winger.
