Chelsea could offer Raheem Sterling in a deal to sign Michael Olise

Chelsea are considering offering Raheem Sterling in a deal to acquire the services of Crystal Palace sensation Michael Olise.

According to a report from TBR, Chelsea are keen on bolstering their attack ahead of next season and they have their eyes on Crystal Palace star Michael Olise. The Blues are looking to push for his services in the summer and they are willing to offer Raheem Sterling in an attempt to sign the French winger.

Olise joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021 and he has only gone from strength to strength since. He has established himself as a mainstay in the team and has been a consistent performer for them over the years. While he has suffered because of injuries, he still has nine goals and four assists in his 17 league games this season.

The 22-year-old’s impressive performances have resulted in a lot of interest. Multiple big clubs from the country are keen on having him in their squad. Chelsea are one of the clubs that have a long-standing interest in the French youth international.

They were close to acquiring his services before he penned down a new deal last summer. While he did extend his stay at the club, the Blues remain interested in him. They want him at Stamford Bridge for next season and looking at ways to make it happen.

While there is a £60 million release clause in his contract and the Eagles have made it clear that they are not willing to negotiate on anything lower, the Blues are looking to figure out a way without having to pay that big a fee. They are willing to offer players in return to get this over the line.

According to the report, Chelsea are looking to move Raheem Sterling on this summer but with the options limited as the 29-year-old doesn’t want to leave London, they are now looking to offer him to Crystal Palace in a deal that will see Michael Olise join them.

The Blues are ready to massively subsidise his wages in order to make things happen as they are well aware of the fact that no other Premier League club would be willing to match the wages they pay him at Stamford Bridge.
