According to Simon Phillips on his Substack page, Jack Grealish is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for offensive reinforcement heading into the summer transfer window. And they have set their sights on a shocking move for the 28-year-old Manchester City attacker.

Jack Grealish has endured a rollercoaster ride since joining Manchester City from Aston Villa in August 2021. A native of Birmingham, he is a boyhood Aston Villa fan and rose through the ranks at the West Midlands outfit before becoming a regular for the first-team squad. He also served the club as the captain before moving to the Etihad.
However, the 28-year-old has been in and out of the starting Manchester City lineup in the last three years. Nevertheless, the Englishman was a handy contributor in the final third in his first two campaigns, becoming Pep Guardiola’s go-to man in the offensive department. But Grealish has seen his stock plummet thus far this term.
The English international, who has turned out 35 times thus far for the Three Lions, has managed only 2,104 minutes of game time across 35 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with three goals and three assists. So, it is hardly surprising that Grealish faces an uncertain future at Manchester City heading into the summer transfer window. And his next destination might be Chelsea.

Chelsea’s interest in Jack Grealish is somewhat surprising. The Blues have a recent history in the market with Manchester City, signing Raheem Sterling two years ago. However, the Englishman has not been a successful signing for Chelsea, struggling to hit the heights of his stint with Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Grealish faces an uncertain future at Manchester City, with the Premier League champions considering cashing in on him in the summer transfer window. However, a move to Chelsea will be surprising, as they need a prolific striker instead of investing in a wide attacker.
It will be interesting to see if Grealish becomes a serious option for Chelsea in the summer transfer window. However, the West London club should focus on other targets amid concerns over breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules and the newly agreed cost cap.
