Arsenal are interested in the services of 22-year-old Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United target Danilo.
According to a report by HITC, Arsenal remain interested in the services of Danilo and could make a move for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder has been a standout performer for Nottingham Forest, and multiple top clubs are keen on his signatures.
Danilo arrived in England in the winter of 2023 after coming up the ranks and making a name for himself at Palmeiras. Arsenal were one of the clubs that were monitoring him during his days in Brazil. But, they had not submitted an offer for his services.
Nottingham Forest went in and managed to sign the 22-year-old midfielder in a deal worth £18 million. While it was not easy to adjust to life in England, the Brazilian midfielder has done an exceptional job for him. He has not looked out of place in the Premier League.
Arsenal remain interested in Danilo
The Gunners have continued to monitor him. They are looking to reinforce their midfield and the 22-year-old is a top target for them. Danilo’s contract with Nottingham Forest runs until the summer of 2029 but he could still be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in him.
The Tricky Trees are fighting for survival in the English top flight. If they fail to stay in the Premier League, his exit will become a certainty. Arsenal are prioritising signing a new midfielder because the futures of Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, Emile Smith Rowe and Jorginho are uncertain.
Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle United are in the mix
Arsenal are looking at Danilo as someone who can help them in the short as well as the long term. While the Gunners remain interested in the Brazilian’s services, they will face competition from Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle United.
The Red Devils are looking at the 22-year-old midfielder to replace his compatriot Casemiro, who has not lived up to the expectations. As far as Tottenham are concerned, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will push for a move away from the club and they feel Danilo could be an ideal replacement.
Meanwhile, the Magpies are looking for more depth in the centre of the park. They have failed to reach the heights they did last time out and are looking to reinforce their squad in the summer. Newcastle feel Danilo could be an ideal fit for their plans moving ahead.
