Chelsea are ready to offer €40 million for the services of teenage defensive sensation Leny Yoro amid interest from Real Madrid.

According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea are looking to beat Real Madrid in the race for the services of Leny Yoro. The teenage defensive sensation is considered a huge prospect, and the Blues are looking to do everything in their power to have him in their ranks, including offering €40 million.

Yoro joined the LOSC Lille youth ranks back in 2017. He came up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022. The youngster has already featured in 55 matches for the French club’s first team.

After an impressive first season at the club, the 18-year-old has managed to establish himself as a mainstay in the team. He has featured in 39 matches this term and has racked up over 3,300 minutes.

Yoro’s performances in the heart of the Lille defence have not gone unnoticed, and there is a lot of interest in the services of teenage sensation. With his contract running out in the summer of 2025, a move in the upcoming transfer window looks very likely.

Real Madrid interested in the teenage sensation

Real Madrid are one of the clubs that are very keen on having the teenage sensation in their ranks. They have been closely monitoring the teenager for a long while now. With Nacho Fernandez likely leaving at the end of the season, Yoro could come in to take his place in the squad.

The 18-year-old has already expressed his desire to play for Los Blancos, and his agent Jorge Mendes has held talks with the Spanish club regarding a potential transfer in the summer. Meanwhile, Mendes has also informed Real Madrid about Chelsea’s interest in the Lille defensive sensation.

The Blues have been focused on signing young players over the past few transfer windows. Yoro seems to be a perfect fit for their plans moving ahead and with Thiago Silva’s future uncertain, he could come in as a long-term replacement for the Brazilian centre-back.

Mendes has also informed Real Madrid that the Blues are willing to offer €40 million for his services. On top of that, the West London club are ready to pay him a net salary of €7 million which is double what the Spanish club can offer him. The financial side of things could have a huge impact on Yoro’s decision amid the battle between Chelsea and Real Madrid.
