Manchester City will soon present an official bid to sign Besiktas attacking sensation Semih Kilicsoy, a target for Tottenham.

According to a report by Turkish outlet Aksam, Semih Kilicsoy is the subject of interest from Manchester City. The Premier League champions are preparing a bid worth around €30 million to sign the 18-year-old attacking sensation. Meanwhile, the Besiktas forward is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Who is Semih Kilicsoy?

Semih Kilicsoy is the latest highly-rated prodigy to rise in prominence in his homeland. The Turkish wonderkid has risen in prominence since establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at Besiktas. And his exploits have also helped him break into his country’s under-21 team earlier this year.

The 18-year-old is not the first-choice striker yet for Besiktas. However, Kilicsoy has managed over 1,700 minutes of game time across 29 appearances in all competitions, amassing 11 goals and two assists. Meanwhile, the teenage attacking sensation’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe.

The youngster is a target for UEFA Champions League mainstays like Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. However, a move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur vying for Kilicsoy’s signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Premier League calling?

Manchester City recently joined the race to sign Semih Kilicsoy. The Citizens do not necessarily need a striker, considering Erling Haaland’s exploits. However, the 18-year-old is a versatile attacker who can play across the frontline. So, he is a viable target for Manchester City, with the Premier League champions preparing a bid to sign him, with the offer likely in the region of €30 million.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s interest in Kilicsoy is understandable. The North London club only signed Alejo Veliz to replace Harry Kane, with the Argentine prospect not ready to regularly feature for them. The Turkish attacking sensation is thus an option worth considering.

A sale worth €30 million will be a record for a Turkish club, meaning a bid of around €30 million should do the trick. So, it will be interesting to see if Manchester City can beat Tottenham to Semih Kilicsoy’s signature in the summer transfer window.
