Real Madrid will only sanction the departure of their star forward Rordygo for a fee of around €100-120 million amid Liverpool links.

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are keen on having Rodrygo in their ranks as they look for a potential Mohamed Salah replacement. But, they will have to fork out a fortune to land him at the club, as Real Madrid have set an asking price of €100-120 million.

Rodrygo Goes has been doing wonders for Real Madrid since joining them from Santos as a teenager back in 2019. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and has established himself as a first-team regular. The 23-year-old has already helped them win major titles, and his contract with the Spanish giants runs until the summer of 2027.

The Brazilian international has no intention of leaving Los Blancos. But, his game time could be affected next season because of the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe. If the French international does join Real Madrid after leaving PSG, he will be a regular starter and someone will have to drop to the bench. Rodrygo could be the one whose minutes will take a major hit.

Liverpool want Rodrygo to replace Salah

English clubs are well aware of the situation, and they are looking to make the best use of it as the Brazil international might not want to be reduced to the bench. Liverpool are one of the clubs keen on his signatures with Salah’s future uncertain.

There is a lot of interest in the Egypt international from the Middle East. They will once again knock on Liverpool’s door in the summer and with Salah’s contract running out in the summer of 2025, a move away could be on the cards.

Salah’s departure will leave a huge void that the Reds want to fill by signing Rodrygo, who will add quality to the flanks and will also give them another option up top. According to reports, they have already submitted an improved second offer in the pursuit of his services. That offer is in the range of €80 million, and Real Madrid will surely reject it as they want €100-120 million for the Brazil international.
