Arsenal are ready to make an offer for Andriy Lunin as Mikel Arteta begins his search for the Aaron Ramsdale replacement.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are considering moving for Anreiy Lunin as they search for an Aaron Ramsdale replacement. The Gunners are willing to double his salary should the Ukranian move to the Emirates, as Real Madrid may look to sign a new stopper in the summer.

Arsenal keen on Andriy Lunin

The Gunners are in the market for critical signings ahead of the summer window, including a new goalkeeper. Aaron Ramsdale’s time at the club might come to a premature end as Mikel Arteta favours David Raya as his No.1, which has seen the England international struggle for minutes.

With Ramsdale widely expected to depart to another side where he becomes the No.1, Arsenal will begin their search for a new goalkeeper, which might already be underway. Columbus Crew star Patrick Schulte is considered a replacement option as Arsenal continue to improve their standing in the European market, as the 23-year-old is considered someone very similar to former star Matt Turner.

Arsenal are also keen on Andriy Lunin, with the 25-year-old Real Madrid star one of the hottest properties in Europe. The Ukrainian has had a fantastic season where he has taken over Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal and become the club’s No.1 for now. He might have to relinquish his spot once Thibaut Courtois returns from his injury. But he will remain between the sticks for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal are willing to pay €20 million for the 25-year-old Real Madrid star and even double his current wages should he switch to the Emirates. He will, however, begin as Raya’s deputy in the current system. But Lunin certainly has the elements to challenge the Spaniard for the position in the future.

Lunin has other prominent options

Andri Lunin is open to signing a new deal at Real Madrid despite numerous reports linking the club with new keepers like Diogo Costa and Mike Maignan. Should one of the two arrive, the Ukrainian international will not have a place in the squad, as he may be unable to compete with two top-stoppers.

Chelsea are also keen on Lunin, and a switch to Stamford Bridge could be fascinating as he could come there as the club’s new No.1. Hence, the Blues may have a bigger chance if they are to follow the 25-year-old Real Madrid star with intent, as at Arsenal he will; indeed begin as their No.2.
