Real Madrid will reportedly look to re-sign Takefusa Kubo from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad by offering Brahim Diaz in the deal.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Takefusa Kubo is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Los Blancos can re-sign the 22-year-old winger from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad for just €30 million. But they will look to reduce the transfer fee by offering Brahim Diaz to La Real in a part-exchange deal.

Takefusa Kubo has established himself as one of the best young wingers in La Liga since joining Real Sociedad from Real Madrid last year. The Japanese international was in limbo at the Santiago Bernabeu after failing to establish a foothold in the first-team squad. So, he decided to end his stint with Real Madrid by moving across La Liga to Real Sociedad.

The move to the Basque Country has done wonders for Kubo’s career, and he has started the new season well. The 22-year-old is one of the top scorers in La Liga, amassing five goals and two assists in nine outings. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs.

Premier League bigwigs like Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on signing the young winger. But Kubo’s former club Real Madrid will also look to secure his services in the 2024 summer transfer window. And the Merengues might have an ace up their sleeves.

The report claims Real Madrid will offer Brahim Diaz in a part-exchange deal to re-sign Kubo next summer. While Los Blancos can re-sign the 22-year-old for just €30 million due to a clause in his clause with Real Sociedad, they want to drive the fee down further.

The Merengues reckon they can execute the deal by shelling out only €20 million, as they value Diaz at €10 million. Interestingly, Diaz faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Aston Villa and West Ham United keen. But the Premier League clubs are facing a blow to their hopes amid Real Madrid’s intention to use him as a sweetener in the deal to re-sign Kubo.
