Brighton need to bring in midfield reinforcements after the departures of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo earlier this summer. Gallagher could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for them, and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea are prepared to sell him.
The 23-year-old is reportedly keen on staying at Stamford Bridge. But he is aware of the fact that he might not be a regular starter for the Blues this season. Chelsea have already brought in a number of players since their takeover, and they have considerable depth in every position.

The Chelsea midfielder needs to play and continue his development for now. He will have plenty of opportunities to join a big club in the near future if he manages to fulfil his potential.
