Dusan Vlahovic reluctant to join Chelsea

Dusan Vlahovic doesn’t fancy a move to Chelsea, which has recently become apparent in the lack of agreement between the two clubs.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Dusan Vlahovic does not want to join Chelsea and stay at Juventus to continue his career here. The Italian side were open to a sizeable sale, but the Serbian does not want to leave the club this soon.

Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus remains in the balance as the club does not reveal their plans for the striker. After a fruitful first six months at the club, the Serbian struggled for relevance last season with his loss in form and injury troubles.

There’s a general consensus that Massimiliano Allegri does not see the Serbian in his long-term plans, which has led to speculation about a departure. There have been multiple links and suggestions that Real Madrid could make a late swoop.

Yet, the Serbian has remained unflattered with the suggestions and intends to stay at Juventus, his dream club. Chelsea has been linked heavily with the striker in recent times. The Blues are in the market for a new frontman and want to sell Romelu Lukaku at all costs.

There were suggestions that Lukaku and Vlahovic could get involved in a part-exchange deal, but things have cooled significantly. Chelsea were unwilling to pay Juventus’ cash demands for this deal.

If there were any slim hopes of a revival, Vlahovic has now shown reluctance to join Chelsea or anyone else this summer. After returning to fitness, the striker wants to stay and fight for his future here. Juventus hoped to sign Lukaku despite fans’ protests urging them against the Belgian.

They somewhat like Vlahovic and could support the Serbian in his plea to stay at the club. The 23-year-old striker possibly knows Lukaku has agreed on personal terms with Juventus but remains undeterred about his future.

Vlahovic has a long-term contract with Juventus, and as things stand, he could stay here at least for another season. With that in mind, the Turin side could look away from the future of the 23-year-old striker and start looking for options to strengthen other areas of the squad.
