Barcelona might offer 19-year-old attacker Estanish Pedrola in the deal to sign Spanish whizkid Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid.

According to Gerard Romero on Jijantes FC, Ivan Fresneda remains high on Barcelona’s wishlist for the summer transfer window. And the Catalan giants are contemplating offering Estanis Pedrola in a part-exchange deal. In addition, Real Valladolid will receive close to €10 million in exchange for the Spanish whizkid.

Ivan Fresneda has become a hot property in the market on the back of his breakthrough season as a professional footballer. The 18-year-old has not even made 50 appearances on the first-team level. But he has shown enough promise for high-profile clubs to sit up and take note of his talent and potential.

The Spanish whizkid was not the undisputed first-choice right-back for Real Valladolid last season. But he managed an impressive 26 appearances for the Pucellas. And while Valladolid went down to the second tier at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, Fresneda’s immediate future might be in La Liga. That is because he is a top target for Barcelona this summer.

Barcelona recently revived the move to sign the Spaniard after the trail went cold for a few weeks. In the meantime, several new suitors emerged in the race to sign the youngster from Real Valladolid. These included Bournemouth, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund.

But Fresneda reportedly has his heart set on joining Barcelona this summer. And the Catalan giants are now ready to intensify their efforts to land him in the ongoing transfer window. The report by Gerard Romero on Jijantes FC points to the possibility of a part-exchange deal.

Barcelona might reportedly look to offer Estanis Pedrola in the deal to secure Fresneda’s services. The 19-year-old attacker made his first-team debut for Barcelona in the 2021/22 season. But he has yet to turn out again for the Blaugrana since then. However, he has the level to thrive at Real Valladolid next season.

Meanwhile, the Pucellas will receive nearly €10 million in cash payment apart from Pedrola if the deal goes through. And it will be interesting to see if a part-exchange arrangement sees the light of day in the coming days.
