Chelsea may have submitted an offer to Paulo Dybala and his entourage, as they want to know if the 29-year-old wants to leave Italy.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Chelsea are probing and pushing to sign Paulo Dybala, having submitted a contract proposal to the attacker. Mauricio Pochettino remains keen to add the 29-year-old World Cup winner to his ranks, as he would bring plenty of attacking experience to this young Chelsea squad.

The report adds that the player’s camp have communicated his decision to the Blues and Dybala is not keen on a transfer to the Premier League. The future of Paulo Dybala continues to give Jose Mourinho and Tiago Pinto sleepless nights. The Portuguese manager remains keen to see the 29-year-old World Cup winner stay put in Rome and continue to spearhead the project at the club.

However, things are not in his hands or that of the club, as the modest release clause in Dybala’s contract continues to grab headlines. Italian clubs can sign the 29-year-old attacker for €20 million, but clubs from abroad can land him for as low as €12 million.

The idea of signing the 18-goal star will entice plenty of clubs, with Chelsea among those keen on the Argentine. The Blues are ready to pay the €12 million fee to take Dybala to London, but there are lingering doubts on whether the player wants to leave Rome and Italy.

Dybala seems settled at Roma and under Mourinho, with the club planning to renew his deal and possibly eliminate the release clause. The report seems confident that Pinto must have already agreed on terms of a new deal, which is also why they are so calm about the Argentine’s situation.

From Chelsea’s perspective, they have already submitted an offer to Dybala and his entourage to test the waters. The idea of joining the London side and making millions in return might have crossed their minds, and they might respond in the coming period.

While Dybala appears settled in Italy, Mauricio Pochettino continues to push Chelsea to sign him. The Argentine manager could become a huge factor in determining where the attacker plays next. The Blues lack the presence of experienced heads in their attacking setup, which is why their manager wants someone like the Roma star.

The 29-year-old World Cup winner will have to decide soon as both Roma and Chelsea will feel comfortable knowing the outcome. Chelsea would ideally keep pushing and not let go of this bargain opportunity, but Roma seems confident of keeping Dybala for years to come.
