Chelsea have been linked with 29-year-old Argentine international striker Paulo Dybala, a target for Manchester United and Tottenham.

Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move away from AS Roma. And Sportmediaset has claimed that Chelsea are now prepared to pay €12 million to sign the player. The 29-year-old is also a target for Manchester United and Tottenham.

According to a clause in the player’s contract, foreign clubs will be able to sign the World Cup winner for a fee of around €12 million. Dybala had an excellent season with AS Roma, scoring 18 goals across all competitions, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Chelsea.

The Blues need to bring in a reliable goalscorer this summer, and the Argentine international certainly has the pedigree to succeed in the Premier League. Apart from his ability to score goals, the 29-year-old is a reliable creator as well and he could link up well with Christopher Nkunku.

The Argentine international is capable of leading the line for Chelsea, and he has able to operate in the number ten role as well. The striker is at the peak of his powers right now, and he could make an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge.

The opportunity to unite with his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea will be an attractive option for the player as well. In addition to that, Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to play for them can be hard to turn down.

A move to the Premier League would be a step up in the player’s career and he is likely to be tempted. Dybala has already proven himself in Italian football over the years, and he will look to test himself at a higher level now.

Chelsea struggled to score goals consistently last season, and Mauricio Pochettino must look to sort out that problem before the new season begins. The addition of Christopher Nkunku would certainly improve Chelsea in the final third. But they need to bring in another reliable attacker. Signing Dybala makes a lot of sense, especially for the reported asking price.

At €12 million, the Argentine international could prove to be a major bargain for Chelsea. The player has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham as well. Both clubs could use a quality striker next season. Manchester United need to bring in someone to support Marcus Rashford, while Spurs might need to replace Harry Kane who has been linked with a move away.
