Manchester United willing to table bid to sign Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-German superstar Kylian Mbappe, a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid.

A report from MARCA via Sport Witness claims that Manchester United are ready to submit an offer to sign Kylian Mbappe. The 24-year-old French international is a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid as well.

Mbappe has been linked with a move away from PSG in recent weeks, and Real Madrid have been mentioned as a potential destination. The Spanish giants need to bring in attacking reinforcements after the departure of Karim Benzema. And his compatriot would be a quality acquisition.

The 24-year-old is one of the best players in the world, and he scored 41 goals across all competitions last season. So it is hardly surprising that a barrage of high-profile clubs have shown interest in the Frenchman.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are keen on signing the player as well. The Blues needs to sharpen their attacking unit after struggling to score goals consistently last season. Someone like Mbappe would completely transform them in the final third.

Manchester United could use a quality forward as well. They were overly dependent on Marcus Rashford last season, and the England international will need more help and support from his teammates.

In addition to that, Manchester United need to improve their squad if they want to challenge for the league title with Manchester City and Arsenal. Mbappe would certainly improve them immensely and help them compete at the highest level. And the Premier League heavyweights are willing to table a bid to sign the PSG attacker.

Manchester United have the finances to sign the player as well. The Red Devils can offer him Champions League football next season and Erik ten Hag has put together an exciting squad. Mbappe is currently in the final year of his contract with the French club, and he has refused to sign a new contract with them.

PSG have now put him up for sale, and it remains to be seen whether the reported clubs can agree on a deal in the coming weeks. A move to Chelsea seems unlikely this summer, especially without Champions League football. So Manchester United and Real Madrid will probably fancy their chances of signing the player more than the Blues.
